Internet sweepstakes can be offered nationally, but state laws still matter. Operators must filter eligibility, register high-value promotions in certain states, and publish "void where prohibited" language truthfully.
Common state-level requirements
- Age 18+ (or higher where state law requires, e.g., Alabama and Nebraska for some promotions)
- Registration in New York, Florida, and Rhode Island when ARV exceeds thresholds
- Bonding for very large prize values in some jurisdictions
- Excluded groups: employees, agencies, and household members per Official Rules
What players should check before entering

International visitors
Unless a promotion explicitly opens eligibility to non-US residents, assume US residency is required. Prize values on Gaviom are stated in US dollars (USD) unless the Official Rules say otherwise.
